EcoStrip 2.0 USB Surge Protector

price: $42.99 | In-stock

A tree planted for every EcoStrip sold!

What is it?
The USB EcoStrip 2.0 acts as a normal power strip/surge protector for your computer and peripheral devices -- with one important difference: when the computer is turned off, power is shut down to the peripherals.

How to use it
Plug the USB EcoStrip 2.0 into any PC or Mac.  Then simply turn off your computer at the end of each workday and the EcoStrip will automatically close the circuts to the five outlets on the strip, eliminating idle drain.  To turn the outlets back on, simply restart your computer.

Save 10% on your home or business electric bill!
The price of energy affects businesses, schools and homes worldwide. The USB EcoStrip 2.0 eliminates the flow of electricity to computer peripherals when the computer is turned off, thereby drastically reducing electricity bills in the home and workplace.

According to the Department of Energy, the amount of household electricity consumed when products are turned off costs the average home almost $1,200 each year.

Eliminates Standby Power!
EcoStrip is taking an active role in generating conversation and motivating individuals to take action when it comes to improving the environmental status of our planet. If you have a computer, why not make it a green one? The USB EcoStrip 2.0 helps you to conserve electricity by turning power-drawing devices off when you aren’t at your computer.

Dramatically reduces your carbon footprint!
Recognized today as the best new energy-saving product of 2007 by Carlyle Associates, the USB EcoStrip 2.0 was presented with the “Gold Standard Award” for eliminating “Vampire Electronics.”

According to the International Energy Agency, the U.S. spends almost $11 billion annually on electricity lost to “vampire power.” A computer left on continuously uses 70 to 250 watts - nearly as much power as an energy efficient refrigerator.

* savings will be factored by the type and number of connected devices, cost of power and hours of standby savings.
