Owner and creator Heather English got the idea for her company while floating down Boulder Creek on an inner tube. "I needed a new handbag but I was a hardcore vegetarian. I wanted something that was fashionable and invincible. But not made from leather.” She launched her company in 2001, crafting her first inner tube bag by hand. Today, Heather gets used inner tubes from truck stops in the Boulder area, each of which she estimates have logged over 60,000 miles before their fashion reinvention. Made in the USA.
